Bio

Mehgan Trice was born in Chicago Illinois in 1987, and is presently living in Ohio.
Mehgan began expressing her love for the arts at a very young age. As a child she spent most of her
time drawing and writing stories from which she created her own films and animations,
which brought each of her tales to life.

As time went on, her passion for the visual and performing arts only continued to grow stronger.
With a unique style often seen as surreal, dark, and mysterious, her inspiration for her work comes from many sources,
including mythology, music, literature, history, folklore, and ancient cultures, just to name a few.
Combining her love for the visual arts and storytelling, her artwork and films strive to not only be visually captivating,
but also thought provoking, with the goal to stir the minds and emotions of those who view them.

Her artistic influences include artists such as Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Michael Hussar,
Mark Ryden, Camille Rose Garcia, and Lori Earley. As well as filmmakers Guillermo Del Toro, Tim Burton,
F.W. Murnau, Alfred Hitchcock, Federico Fellini, and Hayao Miyazaki, just to name a few.

Over the past few years Mehgan’s paintings have been exhibited in many galleries across the United States.
Her works have also been published in a number of international books and magazines.
Currently she is busy working on a small series of paintings
and a stop motion animated short film, that is currently in pre-production.
